My parents met on holiday and have been married for over 40 years and my husband Tim and I did too.
I was twenty-two when I met Tim and we were in Bulgaria, although he has always said he noticed me in the departure lounge at Gatwick Airport. I had decided three weeks before when a flier came round at work advertising cheap ski holidays that I needed a holiday and I wanted to go skiing.
I rang my friend to convince her we should go, she said she had no money, I booked it later that day, putting it all on my credit card. This was not like me, people who know me would say I like to be organised, plan ahead, save and am not really very spontaneous. I believe I was compelled to go, this was how I was going to meet my soul mate.
